Resumen
En la actualidad, muchos jóvenes universitarios experimentan altos niveles de estrés debido exigencias académicas, el temor a fallar, la presión familiar o la transición de la escolaridad al contexto universitario, lo que puede influir negativamente en su desempeño académico y bienestar integral. Ante esta problemática, se plantea como objetivo general analizar la efectividad del mindfulness como estrategia para reducir el estrés en estudiantes universitarios. A partir de dicho aspecto se pretende, identificar los factores causantes de estrés, el aporte del mindfulness como técnica de reducción, y delimitar las distintas estrategias aplicadas en el contexto universitario. La investigación se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cualitativo con nivel descriptivo y tipo de investigación documental, basada en la revisión de artículos científicos, sistematizaciones de experiencias con estudiantes, ensayos, etc. Los resultados destacan que el estrés en universitarios se origina principalmente por exigencias académicas, procesos de adaptación y factores personales, por otro lado, el mindfulness ofrece beneficios significativos como el desarrollo de estrategias de afrontamiento, la autorregulación emocional y principalmente la disminución del estrés, las técnicas más aplicadas en este contexto incluyen la meditación, el escaneo corporal, el yoga y otras dinámicas prácticas. En conclusión, el mindfulness es una herramienta efectiva y prometedora para reducir los niveles de estrés en estudiantes universitarios.
Currently, many students experience high levels of stress due to academic demands, fear of failure, family pressure, or the transition from school to university life, which can negatively affect their academic performance and overall well-being. In response to this issue, the general objective is to analyze the effectiveness of mindfulness as a strategy to reduce stress in university students. Based of this approach, the aim is to identify the factors that cause stress, explore the contribution of mindfulness as a stress-reduction technique, and outline the various strategies applied in the university context. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a descriptive level and a documentary research type, based on the review of scientific article, systematizations of experiences with students, essays, and other sources. The results highlight that stress in university students mainly stems from academic demands, adaptation processes, and personal factors. On the other hand, mindfulness offers significant benefits such as the development of coping strategies, emotional self-reduction, and most importantly, stress reduction. The most commonly applied techniques in this context include meditation, body scanning, yoga, and other practical dynamics. In conclusion, mindfulness is an effective and promising tool for seducing stress levels in university students.
