dc.description	The present research "Knowledge, Uses and Practices of Tzawar Mishki and the Agave Plant in Otavalo Country" is done with the purpose of contributing to the safeguarding of the traditional knowledge of the Kichwa Otavalo people, since at present and mainly generations younger, there is a gradual loss of its different uses and practices, both old and present. In order to compile the main knowledge, uses and practices, the following objectives have been set: to record the practice of the extraction and production process of tzawar mishki agave juice in the study area, to identify the knowledge, practices and uses (lost and existing) around To the plant of agave and tzawar mishki, and to classify the most frequent human diseases treated through the consumption and use of tzawar mishki.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	La presente investigación “Saberes, usos y prácticas del Tzawar Mishki y de la planta agave (agave americana) en el cantón Otavalo, (Imbabura, Ecuador)” se realiza con la finalidad de contribuir a la salvaguardia de los saberes tradicionales del pueblo Kichwa Otavalo, ya que en la actualidad y principalmente en las generaciones más jóvenes, existe una pérdida paulatina de sus diferentes usos y prácticas, tanto antiguos cómo actuales. Para lograr recopilar los principales saberes, usos y prácticas se han planteado los siguientes objetivos: registrar la práctica del proceso de extracción y producción del tzawar mishki en la zona de estudio, identificar los saberes, prácticas y los usos (perdidos y existentes) en torno a la planta de agave (agave americana) y tzawar mishki, y clasificar las enfermedades más frecuentes tratadas a través del consumo y uso del tzawar mishki.	es_ES
