ABSTRACT Cyberbullying is not a recent problem, and many students have been victims and suffered attacks through virtual systems, provoking fear, subjugation and mockery. Cyberbullying in Ecuadorian education became a major problem due to the use of virtual media during the COVID-19 pandemic, which gave rise to new forms of virtual bullying. The research question posed was: How did cyberbullying affect the learning process of high school students of the "Santa Luisa de Marillac" Fiscomisional Educational Unit during the pandemic? The general objective was to determine if there were cases of cyberbullying in virtual education, and if these affected the students' learning. The research methodology was mixed - sequential, and the correlational method to demonstrate the relationship between cyberbullying and learning; to obtain quantitative data, a questionnaire was applied to 66 high school students. Qualitatively, an interview was conducted with 8 teachers of the institution to determine their knowledge and actions regarding the situations of cyberbullying detected. The main results determine that there were cases of cyberbullying, but that this problem did not affect the students' learning because it was not a majority group. Finally, it is not because a minority group is affected by virtual bullying that this problem should not be addressed, which is why a guide was prepared with actions for parents and teachers to detect and prevent cyberbullying.
