Implementación del Aprendizaje basado en Proyectos en Bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa Particular "Santísimo Sacramento"

Abstract

Esta investigación explora cómo los docentes de bachillerato en la Unidad Educativa Particular “Santísimo Sacramento”, en Cotacachi, perciben la aplicación del Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos (ABP). En la actualidad, la educación exige que los jóvenes desarrollen habilidades prácticas como el pensamiento crítico, el trabajo en equipo y la autonomía. Por ello, el ABP se presenta como una herramienta clave para conectar las lecciones teóricas con situaciones reales y motivadoras. Sin embargo, el estudio revela que llevar esta metodología a las aulas presenta retos importantes. Aunque los profesores valoran sus beneficios para el aprendizaje, enfrentan obstáculos como la falta de tiempo, la escasez de recursos tecnológicos y la complejidad de la planificación diaria. Además, la dificultad para atender a la diversidad de necesidades estudiantiles bajo este modelo provoca que su aplicación sea irregular, limitando su impacto transformador. Para mejorar esta situación, el análisis propone cuatro pilares: ofrecer capacitación constante a los maestros, mejorar el acceso a materiales didácticos, crear espacios para que los docentes planeen juntos y diseñar estrategias que motiven más a los alumnos. En conclusión, se sugiere implementar talleres prácticos de formación y fomentar un diálogo permanente entre colegas para compartir recursos exitosos. Estas acciones buscan que el ABP se convierta en una práctica coherente y efectiva, logrando una educación secundaria más innovadora, equitativa y alineada con las exigencias actuales del sistema educativo.

This research explores how high school teachers at the “Santísimo Sacramento” Private Educational Unit in Cotacachi perceive the application of Project-Based Learning (PBL). Currently, education demands that young people develop practical skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, and autonomy. Therefore, PBL is presented as a key tool for connecting theoretical lessons with real and motivating situations. However, the study reveals that implementing this methodology in the classroom presents significant challenges. Although teachers value its benefits for learning, they face obstacles such as lack of time, a scarcity of technological resources, and the complexity of daily planning. Furthermore, the difficulty in addressing the diverse needs of students under this model leads to its inconsistent application, limiting its transformative impact. To improve this situation, the analysis proposes four pillars: offering ongoing professional development for teachers, improving access to teaching materials, creating spaces for teachers to plan together, and designing strategies that better motivate students. In conclusion, it is suggested that practical training workshops be implemented and that ongoing dialogue among colleagues be fostered to share successful resources. These actions aim to make Project-Based Learning (PBL) a coherent and effective practice, achieving a more innovative and equitable secondary education aligned with the current demands of the education system.
