Resumen
La mediación escolar es un elemento de gran importancia a nivel escolar, ya que promueve la resolución pacífica de conflictos, fomenta una convivencia armoniosa en el entorno educativo y contribuye al desarrollo integral de los estudiantes. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo diseñar un “Modelo de gestión para la mediación escolar en búsqueda del descongestionamiento de la junta cantonal de protección de derechos del cantón Cuenca en el periodo 2022-2023. La problemática identificada se centra en la falta de un sistema de mediación escolar efectivo que permita resolver conflictos de forma pacífica y evitar la sobrecarga de trabajo en la junta cantonal. La metodología utilizada para desarrollar el modelo de gestión fue mixta, incluyendo la revisión de literatura especializada, encuestas y entrevistas a actores clave del sistema educativo, así como talleres participativos con estudiantes y docentes. A partir de los resultados obtenidos, se identificaron las principales necesidades y desafíos en la implementación de un sistema de mediación escolar, así como las estrategias y acciones requeridas para su implementación. Entre las principales conclusiones se destaca la importancia de involucrar a toda la comunidad educativa en el proceso de mediación, la necesidad de contar con mediadores capacitados y la importancia de establecer protocolos claros y eficaces para la resolución de conflictos.
Abstract School mediation is a crucial element at the educational level, as it promotes peaceful conflict resolution, fosters harmonious coexistence in the educational environment, and contributes to the comprehensive development of students. The present research aims to design a "Management Model for School Mediation to alleviate the congestion of the cantonal board for the protection of rights in Cuenca canton during the period 2022-2023." The identified issue revolves around the lack of an effective school mediation system that allows for peaceful conflict resolution and prevents the overload of work on the cantonal board. A mixed methodology was used to develop the management model, including a review of specialized literature, surveys, and interviews with key stakeholders in the educational system, as well as participatory workshops with students and teachers. Based on the obtained results, the main needs and challenges in implementing a school mediation system were identified, as well as the required strategies and actions for its implementation. Among the main conclusions, it is highlighted the importance of involving the entire educational community in the mediation process, the necessity of having trained mediators, and the significance of establishing clear and effective protocols for conflict resolution.
