ABSTRACT At the “La Violeta” Child Development Center, difficulties were observed regarding the socio-affective characteristics of the family that do not favor the efficient development of the communication skills of children from 1 to 3 years of age. Family and education are dependent because their cooperative work is reflected in the well-being of the children. In this sense, the general objective of this research was to develop a training proposal aimed at parents and representatives on affective methodological strategies to stimulate children's communication skills. For this, a methodology with a quantitative approach, exploratory and descriptive, field levels was applied. The design was non-experimental transactional with a census sample of 76 units (36 children from 1 to 3 years old, 36 parents and representatives and 4 teachers). Surveys were applied to parents and the observation technique to children and teachers. Cronbach's Alpha coefficient was 0.88 in parents with children aged 1 to 2 years and 0.95 in parents with children aged 2 to 3 years. In the results of the variables studied, the need to enhance children's communication skills with affective strategies from home was evident, in addition to having the support of parents to participate in workshops where they can acquire the tools. It is concluded that, from 1 to 3 years, is the most fragile age of the human being in which it is necessary to work implementing affective methodological strategies on the part of the family.
