Resumen
Actualmente la inteligencia artificial (IA) generadora de texto, está originando transformaciones en el ámbito educativo, de modo que, la investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar el uso del Chat GPT por parte de los docentes de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Pedagógicas de la Universidad de Otavalo, para demostrar las ventajas y desventajas de la utilización de esta Inteligencia Artificial, así como el grado de conocimiento y formas de uso en el proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje. Donde la metodología utilizada fue un enfoque mixto, mediante la aplicación de un nivel exploratorio - descriptivo, centrado en una investigación de campo que permitió el levantamiento de la información a través de las encuestas aplicadas a 17 docentes y las guías de entrevistas que fueron aplicadas a cuatro autoridades de la universidad. En los principales resultados se detectó que los docentes conocen la herramienta Chat GPT y la aplicaron especialmente para planificaciones, diseño de material educativo y como apoyo a la evaluación de contenidos, permitiendo personalizar las clases de formas motivadoras y dinámicas, siendo esta la principal ventaja. Sin embargo, es pertinente generar concientización sobre el uso ético y responsable de esta tecnología para evitar errores en la información que pueda generar Chat GPT en las actividades de los docentes mediante la revisión constante de la información, así como también generar acciones para reducir la posibilidad de dependencia tecnológica y la reducción en la interacción humana, las cuales son consideradas como limitantes dentro de este ámbito.
Currently, the artificial intelligence (AI) text generator is causing transformations in the educational field, so that, the research aimed to analyze the use of Chat GPT by teachers of the Faculty of Social and Pedagogical Sciences of the University of Otavalo, to demonstrate the advantages and disadvantages of the use of this Artificial Intelligence, as well as the degree of knowledge and forms of use in the teaching-learning process. Where the methodology used was a mixed approach, through the application of an exploratory - descriptive level, focused on a field research that allowed the collection of information through surveys applied to 17 teachers and interview guides that were applied to four university authorities. In the main results, it was detected that teachers know the Chat GPT tool and applied it especially for planning, design of educational material and as a support for the evaluation of contents, allowing to personalize classes in motivating and dynamic ways, being this the main advantage. However, it is pertinent to raise awareness about the ethical and responsible use of this technology to avoid errors in the information that Chat GPT can generate in teachers' activities by constantly reviewing the information, as well as to generate actions to reduce the possibility of technological dependence and the reduction in human interaction, which are considered as limiting factors in this field.
